Hello and thanks for stopping by. We are glad your here to support The Roxy. She opened her doors and showed her first film July 14th 1939. In February 2013 The Roxy was forced to undertake a fundraising effort to obtain Digital Cinema Upgrades. This was forced on every theater nation wide. The Roxy was approached by two "Angels" who offered to partner with us. The angels were Mark and Kristina Pickard. Together the four of us have reworked and upgraded the whole Roxy. We have created something special, something cool, and best of all we saved the only theater in Valley County. The New Roxy LLC is a project of love and gem for everyone to see. The Roxy is by far the best single screen theater in the Pacific Northwest and we are sure that means the Nation too. It opened in 1939 and was the most advanced theater in the northwest, and when we reopened her May 2013 she was again the most advanced.
Who is the New Roxy LLC? We are Jason and Trisha Speer and Mark and Kristina Pickard. Its all our honor to own the historic Roxy Theatre in fantastic Cascade, Idaho. We get great joy keeping this landmark open to entertain and bring arts to the people we call family.
The building has gone through tough times in the past and was closed down for over 10 years when the previous owners, John and Jenny Stanford, saw a jewel sitting here on Main Street. They bought the theatre and poured their love, sweat, and tears into it. They restored the old girl to her majestic glory. She was the most advanced theatre in the pacific northwest in 1939 and once inside anyone can see why. The theatre has two main functions in life. First, to show first run Hollywood movies. Second, to provide a place for the performing arts. This ranges from national headliner comedians to Nashville singers to the local school and their Drama Plays. We are the communities theatre.
Trish and I are old pros now and jumped to share the fun and excitement with The Pickard's. Trish and I bought the theater from the previous owners John and Jenny Stanford when they retired to Oregon. We bought it to save it from the development craze that hit the area in the beginning decade of this century. It was our honor to save the Roxy Theatre and continue on the Standford's dream. At times it seemed like a nightmare, but we weathered the recession with the help of the greatest residents in Idaho.

Did you know our business cards are modeled after the Golden Ticket in Willey Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. It took Charlie to a world of wild candy. We wish we could tell you the same would happen with our card, but, well, it can get you two free popcorns on the back of the card.
The Roxy Theatre in Cascade, Idaho was, and still is, the most beautiful building in Cascade, Idaho. Although, the winters were hard on the outside of the building including the marquee the recent renovations fixed all of that and allowed us to go GREEN. The Roxy Marquee is LED along with 97% of the interior lights. The inside is is still as grand as the day it first opened. Most of the interior is original from its opening day Friday July 14, 1939 (just ask us, we will point out the original details).
The Roxy was designed by Hugo Claussen of Salt Lake City to be a wonderful blend of old Hollywood glamour and small town charm. It was the most technologically advanced theatre built in Idaho at the time, at the amazing price of $25,000. With state-of-the-art projectors and a sound system to match, the Roxy was the ultimate movie experience. Don't let the age of the building fool you! The Roxy just completed a extensive remodel and we completed the updating of the projection and sound equipment to ensure that every film is viewed and heard at the highest quality. We spared no expense to ensure you have an experience like you have never had.
